Love is in the Air!

Well I'd seen this gorgeous technique around lately! I don't know what it's officially called but Embedded Embossing, sounds pretty good! Basically you dress up your cardstock however you like and add bits to it, such as the hearts in this image. You also do all your stamping first too! And then you just run it through your Big Shot with an embossing folder and suddenly the bits you added look like they are part of the original cardstock.

Card: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Pretty In Pink, Bravo Burgandy, Melon Mambo
Ink: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry
Ribbon: Black Satin
Punch: Heart to Heart
Embellishments: Pearls
Stamp Sets: Always, Short and Sweet

Till next time, happy stamping...

I finally finished the OSW!!!

If you have been following my blog you'll know that I decided to do Linda Cravens OSW. I got a bit ahead of myself and thought I could do three sheets at the same time, instead of one. Rather than make each card the same, I challenged myself to make 27 different cards.

I have recently finished the final six cards. I think my two favourites out of all the cards I have made are the Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette cards in the picture above. I am glad that I finished on a happy note.

Below is a picture of the whole 27 cards together. It became a bit of a jumbly mess, but my lense wasn't wide enough to capture them all if I spaced them out....lol.

Now I am only going to include the ingredients for the cards in the two top pictures. If you are curious about any of the other cards please check here, here, here or here to find out more details.

Card: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Kraft White, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
DSP: Bella Rose
Punches: Wide Oval, Scallop Oval, Large Oval, 1 3/8" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, 1" Circle, Scallop Edge Border, Eyelet Border, Photo Corner, Large Star, Curly Label
Embellishments: Filigree Brads, Rhinestone Brads, Fire Circle Rhinestone, Vintage Brad
Stamp Sets: Priceless, Always, Tiny Tags, Short and Sweet, Cute and Curly

Cyberstamp Challenge

Hello my friends...

What an exciting week it has been for me! I woke up on Tuesday morning to a lovely email that
informed me that my last post was going to 'appear' on the Yahoo Group Late Night Stampers blog finds of the day for 12/11/09. Wow what a compliment! Thank you to Kelly Mayou who 'found' me!

Anyway us funloving gals who belong to the ESAD (Extremely Special Aussie Demonstators) group have been having a cyberstamp this weekend. Yep right now! We have been online and chatted and had a scavenger hunt and had challenges put out. I was asked to put up a sketch challenge which I did today, so I can now show it to you.

So this was my sketch.... my very first - I never really have to put it to paper normally, it's just up in the head..... you wouldn't beleive how many times I scrunch my brain up, like a peice of paper, and try and throw it out...lol! And here is my interpretation! Do you remember me telling you that I can never follow things exactly? Well I couldn't even follow my own sketch! How bad is that? lol.

It has been fascinating to see what others have made using this sketch. They are all very different and beautiful. I have a couple of other things to show you over the next couple of days, so keep your eyes peeled. I didn't want to overwhelm you with it all on one day!

Card: Pale Plum, Lavendar Lace, Sage Shadow, Whisper White, Glossy White
Ink: Stazon Black, Stazon White, Versamark, Perfect Plum, Sage Shadow, Pale Plum, Riding Hood Red (re-inker)
Ribbon: Whisper White 3/8" taffeta
Embellishments: Whisper White 5/16" Jumbo Brads, Pewter Build-A-Brad, Button Bouquet, White Gel Pen
Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Always, Always In Bloom Wheel, Think Happy Thoughts

Till next time, happy stamping...

Birthday box

Well Kim couldn't have a birthday without a little treat from me. I made this 2-5-7-10 box for her and put some yummy choccies in it.

There are so many beautiful boxes available to make and I have found that if you take your cardstock and stamp over it first, it makes it much more interesting. I used the Always in Bloom wheel on this one.

Did you notice that I have finally worked out how to do a watermark? Joining Stampin' Up! ® has not only encouraged me to learn more papercrafts, but given me the confidence to learn how to blog and use my computer more effectively. Just another hidden benefit of Stampin' Up®! Now I will have to go back and redo all the pictures on my blog to date - oh what a job! Also this week I have worked out how to schedule posts for a later date. So was I really home when I posted all those previous posts? You'll never know.

Card: Lavender Lace, Whisper White, Almost Amethyst
Ink: Versamark, Lavender Lace
Ribbon: Purple and White organza - non SU
Punch: Eyelet Border
Stamp Sets : Always, Always In Bloom Wheel

Till next time, happy stamping...

Silver and White Challenge

Well finally I am going to post a card that I have made myself. I am kind of cheating though, because I did it a couple of months ago for a challenge at my local craft shop. I love doing their challenges as they give you some horrible papers to work with and it really makes you think. I did like the materials this time, but seemed to have a hard time putting them together. Eventually I came up with this little beauty.

So as you are aware, not all of the ingredients are SU, but I thought I would show you anyway. The photo doesn't do this card any justice and one day I might get a new camera, as mine is about to stop working. I used my cricut to cut the "&" and word "Forever"

Card: White, silver and patterned - all non SU
Ribbon: White with silver edging - no SU
Punches: Circle, Scallop circle
Tools: Heat gun, embossing powder
Stamps sets: Always, Baroque Motifs

Anyway I have to dash, as I have to wake up baby and get to school for pickup in ten minutes.

Till next time, happy stamping...

Tri fold cards

Recently a friend, Leonie Schroder, made a tri fold card and I just had to give it a go. You can find instructions on how to make this card, here.

Marelle Taylor is having a Step it Up challenge for June, so I thought that I would try it with this gorgeous card. I have added some Dazzling Diamonds and dyed Pretties and more.

I had so much fun making this card as there were so many surfaces to work with and you could almost tell a story.
