Aaaawww thanks!

This is the final card that I sent to Louisa, my Secret Sister from Stampin_Up_In_Oz. I made it using the cracked glass technique. Whilst it was fun to do, I am not sure that I'll do it too often, I had a few burnt fingers by the end of it. LOL!

Card:Orchid Opulence (retired), Green Galore(retired) , Whisper White, Pixie Pink (retired)
Ink: Orchid Opulence(retired), Green Galore (retired), Pink Passion (retired), Summer Sun (retired), Only Orange (retired)
Punches: Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle
Tools: Big Shot, Polka Dot embossing folder
Stamp sets: Best Yet (retired), Echoes of Kindness (retired), All A Flutter

Hmmm... it looks like I must have been using up retiring stock when I made that one!

On another note, I found that I have been awarded another blog award from Andrea! Thanks for the compliment.

I now have to award this to five more blogs, so here goes in no particular order.

Nikki
Fiona
Leonie
Kerri
Linda

Now you too can go and enjoy some more of these ladies work, if you don't already know of them. Be inspired!

First swap for convention!

Well as I type this I am dreaming of travelling to Sydney for Convention. And although I am dreaming this as I type, I will actually be doing this as you read. So yep, I am on my way! Yippee!!!

This is the first card that I made to swap at convention. I really wanted to try out this half cut technique from Lynn Pratt. It was a wee tad difficult but worked okay!

I have a post set up for each day that I am away, so that you will not be lonely without me!

Card: Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Kraft White, Rich Razzleberry, Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa
Punch: Curly Label Punch

A similar layout!

Good morning everyone,

I have tried to use the same layout as in the previous card, but turned it to portrait, rather than landscape. I have also predominately used colours from the Soft Subtle range. This is not something I normally do, as I tend to work from the Earth Elements or Rich Regals range. I was happy with the end result of this card. What do you think?

This card was made for my secret sister Andrea, who indicated that she loves florals. I hope she liked this one. I inked the stamp using my Stampin' Write Markers and then pulled out my chalks to colour them in. It has been so long since I have used the chalks and I really enjoyed it and love the soft effect it gives.

Card: Pale Plum, Sage Shadow, Lavender Lace, Almost Amethyst, Whisper White
Ink: Lavender Lace, Versamark
Stampin' Write Markers: Always Artichoke, Regal Rose
DSP: Sweet Always
Punches: Corner Rounder, 1 3/8" Circle, 1 3/4" Circle, Scallop Circle
Ribbon: Very Vanilla 1/4" grosgrain
Stamp Set: Echoes of Kindness

Till next time, happy stamping...

Diamond fold card

Well as promised here is another card that I made for my Secret Sister. This was one of the very early ones that she received.

It is called a Diamond fold card and is really simple to make.

As you can see in the picture below it opens out quite snazzy.

I did use a DSP on the triangle folds next to the back rectangles, but you can't see from these pictures. Sorry. As you probably have noticed my photography has improved somewhat over the last couple of months and since I sent this away, I have nothing to take extra photo's of.

I was really organised when I made all of Kim's cards and gifts wrote all of the ingredients down. I also send Kim the links to where I had obtained my tutorial from, but I didn't note these, so I apologise to the author and also to my followers.

Card: Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirrouette
Ink: Chocolate Chip
DSP: Berry Bliss (retired - lucky you can't see it...lol)
Stamp sets: Circle Circus, Echoes of Kindness (hostess set)

Till next time happy stamping

Echo Mojo

Yep, yesterday was Monday and so another challenge was raised. I only got the chance to inspect it this morning, but I was instantly hooked. I had half the card made before hubby got home from dropping the big girl to school.

Here is my creation. I have only just received the Echoes of Kindness hostess set and I am in love.... You can only get this set if you hold a workshop with $600+ in sales. And don't forget that for June and July 2009 if you hold a workshop with over $600 in sales, you will receive an extra $40 spending money. That's a free stamp set from the exclusive hostess range, plus $120 in spending money for anything on your wishlist. Email me if you'd like to hold a workshop or even a catalogue party.

I used the in-colours for my stamping today and since we don't have markers, I inked up the rose, using my blender pens. I got a little ink from the classic pads and applied it to the stamp. When I had coloured all the sections, I huffed - or in laymans talk breathed on it - which remoistened the ink and stamped as usual.

Card: Pink Pirrouhette, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
DSP: Bella Rose
Ribbon: Riding Hood Red 3/8" taffeta
Punches: Corner Rounder (retired), Eyelet Border
Stamp sets: Echoes of Kindess (hostess set), Priceless
