A precious baby!

Today's card has been inspired by the birth of a friends baby boy!

I bought this gorgeous little Cookie Monster jumpsuit for this little man and decided that I would make the card using the same colour. So here it is!

I love the striking-ness of the white. It seems so crisp and clean! I then thought that it needed just a tad more colour so added the Yoyo Yellow! I used the circle scissors to built the centrepiece of this card. It was so quick and easy!

Anyway I am a bit behind with jobs today, so I'll keep this short and get on with the ingredients!

Card: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Taken With Teal, Yoyo Yellow
Punches: Scallop Circle, Scallop Square
Stamp Sets: All In The Family, Fun and Fast Notes, Say It With Scallops

Till next time, happy stamping...

My gift to Andrea for October

Okay, here is part one of my gifts to Andrea.

Andrea indicated that her favourite SU colour was Pink Pirrouette and her favourite stamps sets were Fifth Avenue Floral and Pocket Sillhouettes.

I wanted to make something for Andrea using the things that she liked. I decided to make her this awesome little set of drawers. Unfortunately I didn't have enough Pink Pirouette cardstock and had to settle for Pretty In Pink. I then went through my DSP and found that Raspberry Tart would be a perfect match for my available equipment. I used the Build-A-Brads to make matching little drawer knobs.

In the drawers I included a pack of Clear Rhinestones Brads and the six cards pictured. Now these cards may look very similar to the cards on my previous posts and that is because I was using the same layout, stamp set or DSP and wanted to show the variety of options available.

I will list all the ingredients used together as this would become a very long post if I was to do each card and the drawers seperately.

Card: Pretty In Pink, Glossy White, Whisper White, Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: Versamark, Regal Rose, Stazon White (retired), Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black
DSP: Raspberry Tart
Punches: Eyelet Border, Scallop Edge Border, Scallop Oval, Scallop Square, Large Oval, Heart to Heart, Photo Corners
Embellishments: Pretties Kit, Build-A-Brad, White Signo Gel Pen, Sponge Daubers
Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Organic Grace (hostess set), Oval All (retired), Say it with Scallops, Best Yet(hostess set), Simply Said

Now keep an eye out as there is more to go with the drawers and that will come up soon in future posts.

Till next time, happy stamping

November Cyberstamp Over

Well I think this will be my final entry regarding the November Cyberstamp. Honestly it was so much fun.

As I said in an earlier post, I was asked, by Tanya Kitto, to present a challenge. Tanya has been instrumental in organising these cyberstamps and chats over the last six months, and it was great to be able to give her a hand.

You can imagine my surprise when I received a parcel from her to say thanks. I was gobsmacked by this sweet little bag she had made for me and filled with some beautifully decorated soap, a covered notepad (with a beautiful personal message on the inside for me) and a cute little post it pad. You wouldn't know but it's already been used.... I just couldn't wait.

This gift was so thoughtful, so this is also my public thank you to Tanya. You are an inspiration to me. Your work is stunning and your commitment to ESAD and ESAD-NING is muchly appreciated.

Okay, so that was a great parcel to receive. And then the mail came.... and low and behold there was this sweet card for me from Carole Stedman for winning her scrapbook challenge. Again here is a public thank you to Carole. Your card has made me like the Upsy Daisy set even more and I have put it on my wish list. Thank you for setting the challenge, I enjoyed pushing myself outside my comfort zone.

Alrighty then. Well I am guessing this will be my last post for November. I can guarantee that I will have a post up by 6am on 1st December 2009. This year I am participating in a 'blog hop'! I will have a post up and at the bottom will be a link to another ESAD members blog and at the bottom of their post there will be another link. There will be about 23 blogs to visit. All of these posts will be showcasing the new product coming out in the Summer Mini on 1st December 2009.

Of course this means that there are only a few days to buy product from the Spring Mini! Boohoo! I am going to miss so much of it!

Till next time, happy stamping...

I was spoiled by Dianne Spies

Well I have shown you a couple of things that I made for my Secret Sister in Round 1. Now it is time to see my final parcel contents.

Firstly there was this adorable bag made by Di. I was entranced by the bag, but was thrilled when I opened it to find my very own scallop edge punch. I jumped up and down with glee to receive that.

This bag was made using:

Card: Pacfici Point, Whisper White
Ink: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette
Punch: Scallop Square
Ribbon: Pacific Point 5/8" Striped Grosgrain
Stamp sets: Seeing Spots, Say It With Scallops

Next was this adorable card, which Dianne 'revealed' herself to me.

Card: Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke, Really Rust
Ink: Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke, Really Rust, White Stazon
Punches: Eyelet Border, Scallop Circle
Ribbon: Elegant Eggplant 1/4" Grosgrain
Embellishments: Button Latte, Linen Thread
Stamp sets: Polka Dot Background, En Francais, Fresh Cuts

Finally there was this adorable little gift bag, filled with these sweet little Love Notes. The concept for the gift bag was delightfully simple, yet stunning.

Card: Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon White, Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze
DSP: Urban Garden
Ribbon: Basic Grey Taffeta, Baja Breeze 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain
Stamp Set: Pocket Silhouettes

I feel that I was spoiled by my Secret Sister, Dianne. The thing I love about the Stampin Up company is that all the demo's are there to share. It's a real friendly group of people, and it certainly does feel like a family, which means that having a Secret Sister doesn't feel strange.

So you think that was enough for me. I was pretty happy with it. But Dianne also spoilt my daughters by sending them their own parcel, with a teddy inside. Now they will not go to bed without their teddy from their Secret Aunty.

Anyway I will be back soon with more from the past three months. I'd love to show you projects I am working on now but they are for my new Secret Sister, so you'll just have to wait.

Till next time, happy stamping...

Blooming Challenges

Well again I have endeavoured to participate in the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I get very excited when I see their new sketch each week and very quickly can visualise what I will make and which stamp sets and colours I will use.
This week I was a little slow in making it, but here it is now. This week I let the colours be dictated by Alisa Tilsner, our colour challenge chick, from the ESAD group. When I first heard the colours, I was not too inspired, but I think they have come together beautifully.

Card: Cameo Coral, Riding Hood Red, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Stazon Black, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Versamark
Ribbon: Chocolate Chip 5/8" grograin, Riding Hood Red Taffeta
Punch: Square Scallop
Embellishments: Pretties Kit, Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen
Till next time, enjoy...
