Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Well this post is going to show you some old and some new SU! products. Yes, I still have a cupboard full of retired SU! product that I just can't part with.

Anyway my daughter was invited to a birthday party for one of her classmates, who I didn't know very well. I find it so hard to buy for kids, but figured I would be pretty safe with a DVD. So I set about making Tracey Old's DVD box gift set.

The picture above shows it closed, and the picture below shows it open. Isn't it just the coolest? I love the way that you can put a bag of popcorn in the front. It sort of personalises the gift I think!

And of course, I had to make a card to match. I just love these new (available 1/4/10) in-colours. I used Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo here. And isn't that polka dot ribbon just divine? But before you get excited about that, don't forget that the Sale-A-Bration promotion and the Summer Mini catalogue finishes on 31st March 2010. Only a few days left to get your order in!

Okay back to normal programming. Guess what's coming soon? Yep another blog hop. I can't think of a better way to get to see all the new products coming in and the many varied ways of using them. Keep your eye's peeled for more information!

I'm back and taking up a challenge...

Hello my friends,

Well in case you didn't know, I have actually been away for the past fortnight. I couldn't let you down and not post, so I had all of those that appeared during the last fortnight (except the blog candy winner post) scheduled to just pop up every couple of days.

Anyway what better way to get back into my papercrafts than to take up a challenge? And we all know that I love Gretchens Inspiration In Action weekend sketch challenges. So here is this weekends.

Now I just felt the need to go all soft and gooey, so have made this card in pinks and greys. On this card I stamped the same heart as on the centre piece on a piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock and then punched it out with a medium sized heart, from the Heart to Heart punch.

And then I decided to copy some of Juliana Bibas pocket silhouette vase idea, which of course she claims that she has seen a bit of around the traps.

The saying on this card comes from the Sale-A-Bration set, Whimsical Words. I love this set as it has so many different sayings that will suit a variety of occasions.

I will list all the ingredients together, as aside from the stamps and punches, the ingredients are the same.

Card: Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey, Very Vanilla
Ink: Going Grey, Pink Pirouette
Punches: Small Oval, Boho Blossoms, Heart to Heart
Ribbon: Basic Grey Taffeta
Embellishments: Soft Subtles Brads
Stamp Sets: Pocket Silhouettes, I {heart} Hearts, Whimsical Words, Baroque Motifs

Till next time, happy stamping...

Helping Haiti...With Love

Well this card I made using the I {heart} Hearts stamp set. This is only available in the summer mini until the 31st March 2010. Stampin' Up! ® has made the committment to send $2 from each sale of this adorable stamp set to Haiti.

I think this is a bit girly, but I couldn't help myself. The self made DSP is done using a stamp that has three images on it. I individually coloured each heart and then stamped them on the cardstock.

Card: Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Rose Red
Marker Pens: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Pretty In Pink
DSP: Sweet Always
Punch: Scallop Edge, Scallop Circle
Ribbon: 1" Rose Red double stitched grosgrain
Embellishments: Flower Fusion,Flower Fusion Too, Clear Rhinestones, Sherbert Buttons

Till next time, happy stamping...

Love Rays

Well it's getting to that time again. Valentines Day! Love, Love, Love! Let's hope it has found you already, but if it hasn't I hope it does soon!

Michelle Zindorf had made this card and I just loved it. It is using the new I {heart} Hearts stamp set that's only available in the summer mini. And the circle scissors too! Can you see where my circle's are? In my rays, of course. The tutorial calls for a circle to be cut and used to sponge along to create the rays.

Of course with any tutorial there are predetermined colours, but since we don't have the same in-colours as the USA, I decided totally change the colours. Michelle's tutorial is in oranges and black.

Card: Rose Red, Whisper White, Pacific Point
Ink: Rose Red, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Tempting Turquoise, Taken With Teal
Punch: Photo Corners
Embellishments: Earth Elements brads
Stamp Sets: I {heart} Hearts, Baroque Motifs

Till next time, happy stamping...
